I marked off on the steel bar where the ellipses should be and proceeded in the same way as for body A. This time I spot welded with far cleaner results.
This time the side struts were made from 2mm steel bar for added strength. This created a rigid structure. I also put the bars on the inside this time to give the floor plate something to sit on negating the need for further fixings.

I made a cardboard template for the floor plate before cutting this out of mild steel using the template as my guide, ensuring a perfect fit.

I then place the floor onto the steel bars to check the fit.

I wondered what the wheels would come out like if I resin cast them. I made a small mould and inserted a 1:10 bicycle wheel.
