KITS COTY- Washes and paint effects

Fiona and I colour washed the archway, using reference pictures of Kits Coty to keep us on track.

we used a variety of techniques, using paintbrushes flicking it at the stones, running water down it, and using sponges.

We applied a green wash around the base (Equal parts deep green and yellow ochre), and other areas that we could see a green tinge on the reference picture, with a sponge and blended it in with the raw umber wash to give a dirty appearance.

Finally we added speckles of a yellow ochre wash to lift the colours and give it more depth.
